Man Threatens Truck Driver With Gun At Carlisle Truck Stop: Police
A 32-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening a truck driver with a gun at a truck stop in Carlisle, Middlesex Township police announced on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024.
Freddy Simon-Castro, of unknown address, is accused of pointing a gun at a driver at 1501 Harrisburg Pike on Sunday, Nov. 24, police said in the release. Officers were called to the scene, but Simon-Castro had fled before their arrival.
Authorities quickly located Simon-Castro nearby, and the weapon was seized during the investigation, police said.

5-Month-Old Infant Takes Cocaine, Fentanyl Parents Got In PA Prison, Police Say
A 5-month-old baby girl was found with cocaine and fentanyl in her system that police believe her parents got in the Cumberland County Prison, according to multiple releases on Friday, Sept. 13.
David James Foor, 26, and Brandi Renee Keifer, 25, both of Carlisle were arrested on the charge of child endangerment on Monday, Sept. 9, by Middlesex Township Police.
The following day "it was discovered Foor [and Keifer] had brought in and possessed controlled substances while incarcerated at the Cumberland County Prison," the police wrote in two additional releases.

Michael Harden Kicks Glass Out Of Prison Window: Police Say
An inmate kicked out a window at the Cumberland County Prison, Middlesex Township Police announced on Friday, Aug. 2.
Michael Phil-Lemonte Harden, 36, of Harrisburg, was in prison for "Disorderly Conduct Engage In Fighting" when he kicked the glass out of a window, on July 6, according to court documents and the police.
"Harden was in prison for other charges when he became violent kicking out the window," police wrote in the release. It is unclear if he wanted to use the glass in a fight, escape through the window, if it was an accident, or something else.

Girl Injured When Carlisle Mom Bites Her, Puts In 'Chokehold', Police Say
A mom attacked her daughter "causing bodily injury" last week, the Middlesex Township Police announced on Tuesday, May 14.
Ashley Witters, 37 of Carlisle, is accused of placing her teenage daughter "in a choke hold, kicked, bit, and [head-butting] her," the police stated in the release. The daughter's exact age was not released.
Officers were called to the "active physical domestic" on Friday, May 10.

A woman who didn't want to leave the hotel room got "upset" and stabbed her boyfriend, Middlesex Township Police announced on Monday, May 15, 2023.
Amanda Lynn Gutierrez was taken into custody without incident after her boyfriend called the police and informed them she stabbed him at the Rodeway Inn located at 1239 Harrisburg Pike, Carlisle on Saturday, May 13, 2023, as detailed in the release.

Two Rooms Burned In Arsonist's Blaze At Carlisle Motel: Police
A Carlisle motel was set on fire on Thursday, March 2, 2023, Middlesex Township police stated in a release the following day.
Roy Sampson, 57, of Carlise, was in a vacant room trying to start a fire when the police were called to the Diamond Carlisle Motel located at 1245 Harrisburg Pike, according to the release.
Upon arrival, officers found two vacant rooms "actively on fire."
"Officers would speak to a witness and soon after would locate the suspect, Roy Sampson walking through the parking lot of the motel," as stated in the release.
