Lower Paxton Police Release Details In 33- Hour Standoff After approximately 33 hours, the gunman has been arrested and the hostages are safe, according to Lower Paxton Township police. The standoff started Monday at Pennswood apartments in Lower Paxton Township after a violent domestic assault in one of the apartment units. Derrick Hutcherson, 36, of Harrisburg, has been arrested and is facing numerous felony charges, including attempted criminal homicide for shooting his 25-year-old girlfriend, as Daily Voice previously reported.
