Man Rescued From Cave In Central PA: Officials (Photos) Numerous emergency crews rescued a man "who was wedged in a crevice, deep inside the Wind Cave at the Clark Nature Preserve" on Saturday night into Sunday morning, officials explained to Daily Voice on Monday, Sept. 9.  The man was rescued after 1 a.m. after over five and a half hours stuck in the cave, rescue workers explained.  Crews were called to the scene at the Clark Nature Preserve Bridge Valley Road in Martic Township 6:12 p.m.  The cave posed numerous challenges: dark, narrow, slippery conditions within Wind Cave. Driver Struck By Train, Pushed 200 Feet, Police In Pennsylvania Say A 29-year-old man was driving a car that stopped train tracks and ending up getting pushed and rolled off the tracks, police announced on Wednesda night.  Kaden Stetler of Horseshoe Road in Lancaster was driving a silver 2009 Ford Edge that stopped on the tracks in the 300 block of Willow Road for an unknown reason shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 6, according to East Lampeter Township police.  A Norfolk Southern train struck Steltler's Ford on the passenger side – pushing it approximately 200 feet – then the car "dislodged" and rolled off of the tracks, the police said.  …

Car Slams Into Lancaster Home, Parking In Living Room (Photos) A car crashed into a Lancaster home Thursday afternoon, according to Lancaster Township Fire Department. A 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser crashed into the carriage house of the Colonial Apartments at 1010 Columbia Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. The cruiser slammed through the entire first floor of the home, which was being used as converted living space. Firefighters Gene Gallagher and Devin Ashba quickly extricated the driver through the passenger side door to awaiting Lancaster EMS medics who removed them through the home’s side entrance.
