An Ephrata man who was found guilty of robbing two Turkey Hills— the second time shooting a "clerk in the torso three times with a pellet gun," has been sentenced, the Lancaster District Attorney's Office announced on Friday, Sept. 29. Colby Quinn Mummaw, 28, of the 100 block of S. A 52-year-old Columbia man has received a sentence for a rape "reserved for the worst of the worst," Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick said in a release on Thursday, January 19. Steele Helton was found guilty of three felony counts: rape, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, and sexual assault after a two-day trial on October 19, 2022. Serial Central PA Rapist Headed Back To Prison
A convicted serial rapist from central Pennsylvania is headed back to prison for seven to 15 years, authorities said. Denzel S. Nichols, 26, of Columbia, was found guilty in June 2021 by a Lancaster County jury of raping a 14-year-old victim in March 2018 at a home on the 400 block of Estelle Drive in Lancaster, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office. The incident was reported in March 2020 and charges were filed in October 2020, authorities said.
