Fatal Four-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down I-81 North In Lebanon County: PennDOT
A fatal crash has led to the closure of a section of Interstate 81 in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler announced on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024. The collision occurred at around 2:40 a.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 80, Route 743/Grantville/Hershey, in East Hanover Township, according to PennDOT's 511PA. The crash involved two passenger vehicles and two tractor-trailers—one transporting beer and the other carrying fertilizer, Schreffler explained. Camper Overturns On I-81 In Lebanon: PennDOT
An overturned camper closed a portion of Interstate 81 on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice. The camper flipped over on I-81 South at mile marker 84 in East Hanover Township around 11:30 a.m. The interstate closed for the towing between Exit 85: PA 934 - Annville/ Fort Indiantown Gap and Exit 80: PA 743 - Grantville/Hershey. No injuries were reported. The crash appeared to have cleared just before 1 p.m. but there are some residual delays according to the traffic cameras on 511PA.

A man has been identified following a head-on crash involving entrapment, the Northern Londonderry Township Police told Daily Voice on Tuesday. Anthony Loewy, 65 of Palmyra, was driving north on Gravel Hill Road in North Londonderry Township when he was struck head-on by Jim Ondesko, 28, of Dauphin, township police told Daily Voice. The crash was first called into LCDES at 8:26 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 11. Tractor-Trailer Crash Backs Up Traffic For Miles Along I-81 In Central PA
A tractor-trailer crash has caused a major backup along Interstate 81 in central Pennsylvania, authorities say. I-81 southbound came to a standstill between Exit 90/Route 72 toward Lebanon and Exit 85 to Annville/Fort Indiantown Gap, according to 511PA. The crash involving a tractor-trailer happened around 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 18, according to state police. Additional details about the crash were not released.
