PA Mayor Wants To Dive Into $13M COVID Relief Funds For Splashy Renovations To Pools
A Pennsylvania mayor is looking for the public's input about possibly renovating pools using COVID-19 relief funds, is the community ready to take the plunge? Harrisburg mayor Eric Papenfuse announced the plan to use $13 million of American Rescue Plan funds to renovate and restore the city's pools but he wants public input before moving forward. The Votes Are In, Harrisburg Wants New Mayor
The primary results have been counted and the current Mayor of Harrisburg has lost the primary. Mayor Eric Papenfuse was elected in 2014 and was running for a third term. Although he has said he had more work to do and more items on his agenda, in March at a 'Meet The Candidates' for he made it clear he had no intention of being a mayor for life. It's Electric! More Car Charging Stations Added In Harrisburg
Electrifying news out of Harrisburg, more car charging stations have opened.The city held a ribbon cut for the new stations on Thursday. "I'm giving great thanks to PA DEP's driving forward program, which was the grant program which has allowed us to put in these new electric vehicle charging stations, right here, in the garage on City Island," Mayor Eric Papenfuse said. The eight new car charging stations are located on City Island. The city plans to convert some of its vehicles to electric in the future. There are now more than 20 stations throughout the city.

Harrisburg Rolls Out Pothole Reporting Website
It's been a long and bumpy road, but Harrisburg is taking a proactive approach to identifying and fixing its potholes. The city on Thursday rolled out a new website, compatible with computers and mobile devices, so drivers can report potholes from anywhere -- but not while driving, of course. “This new tool developed by our IT team will make it easier for residents to notify the City about potholes in their neighborhoods,” said Mayor Eric Papenfuse.
