Police Say (Update) A police incident that allegedly prompted a shelter-in-place alert to be issued in part of Hampden Township, turns out to have been a hoax, according to the same police supposedly involved in the incident.  The fake incident was on Red Spruce Lane in the Pinehurst Neighborhood around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, according to Cumberland County officials. The children attended the Carlisle Indian Industrial School from 1880 to 1910. The students died between 1880 and 1910. The remains are being returned to their closest living family members, as per their request of the US Army. The children began being disinterred on Thursday. DUI Driver Busted With Crack Pipe, Middlesex Twp. Police Say A 47-year-old woman was charged with DUI and found in possession of a crack pipe, authorities in Cumberland County said. Middlesex Township police officers responded to a business on the 1000 block of the Harrisburg Pike around 1:30 a.m. March 18, where they found Kelly Peretzman behind the wheel of a vehicle, police said in a news release. Peretzman exhibited several signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance, and was subsequently arrested for DUI, police said. She was also found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and a crack pipe.
