More Details Released About Human Remains Found In Central PA
More details have been released in the days following the discovery of human remains in central Pennsylvania. The remains were found and reported to 911 "in a wooded area behind 814 North Front Street in Steelton," at 2:58 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, according to Dauphin County spokesperson Brett Hambright. Mayor Ciera Dent released a statement on the discovery the same day. A 32-year-old woman was found dead around midnight on Wednesday, May 18, and police suspect she was murdered. The York City police were called to "an unknown problem" in the first block of State Street when they arrived to discover the woman's body, the police said in a release later that morning. A 26-year-old man has been identified as the man who drowned in Codorus Creek on Sunday, Apr. 24, according to a release by the coroner's office. Andrew C. Altland, of the 300 block of West Gas Avenue in York, had been missing since he fell down an embankment into the Codorus Creek on near the 200 block of West Philadelphia Street by the West Philadelphia Street bridge in York City around 8:15 p.m., authorities said at the time. A 4-month-old boy died from an infection not parental abuse, reports PennLive. Brian Wagner, 34 of Newville, is standing trial for the homicide of his 4-month-old son Finnick in July 2017. Dr. Michael Laposata, a medical expert testified, "This child was likely to die," on Tuesday when questioned by the District Attorney.
