50 Years After Being Found Frozen In Pennsylvania Cave 'Pinnacle Man' Is Identified
The body of a man found frozen in a Pennsylvania cave nearly 50 years ago has been identified, authorities said. The remains of Nicholas Paul Grubb, 27, of Fort Washington, Montgomery County, were discovered in January 1977 by two Appalachian Trail hikers who had ducked inside the cave to escape foul weather, according to the Berks County Coroner which announced the news last week. Grubb has long been known as the “Pinnacle Man,” named after the mountain peak near where his body was found. Officials Name Hiker Found Dead On Appalachian Trail In PA
Authorities have identified the man found dead in Lehigh Township over the weekend. Raghu Kodali, 61, of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, was discovered in a wooded area near the Appalachian Trail, the Northampton County Coroner's Office said. His cause and manner of death are pending further investigation, officials added.

Police ID Skeletal Remains In Lehigh Valley As 'Kunkletown Killer'
Police have identified the skeletal remains found by hunters in the Lehigh Valley as belonging to a convicted killer. Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said the bones were those of William S. Edelman, Jr., a 65-year-old who most recently lived in Catasauqua. The remains were located just before 4:30 p.m. Monday in a secluded portion of the Appalachian Trail in Moore Township, the coroner said. Stranded PA Hiker Hospitalized Following Appalachian Trail Rescue
A stranded Pennsylvania hiker was taken to a nearby hospital after being rescued on the Appalachian Trail, authorities said. The Delaware Water Gap Fire Department responded to the trail with several rescue squads and state police during the overnight hours on Thursday, July 28, the company said. The departments worked together to conduct a widespread search for the stranded hiker, who was found around 1:30 a.m. and taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Other assisting agencies include the National Park Service, Station 36, rescue teams 75-78, and Suburban EMS.

Search Continues For Missing Appalachian Trail Hiker John Dunnam
Police in Pennsylvania on Sunday were still looking for missing hiker John Dunnam. Dunnam, 57, was last seen Tuesday in a section of the Appalachian Trail, PA State Police say. Particularly, Dunnam was near Chimney Rocks between the Deer Lick Shelter and the Rocky Mountain shelters when he was last seen, authorities said. He was wearing a gray shirt, blue hiking pants, carrying a green backpack and two trekking poles, state police said. If seen, call 717-249-2121 or 911.
