The single vehicle crash happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate 76 at mile maker 232.4 in Silver Springs Township, Cumberland County, around 5 a.m., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Turnpike Commission.
The crash briefly slowed traffic between Exit 236 - US 15 and Exit 226 - US 11/To I-81, but all lanes of the roadway has since fully reopened, according to PennDOT and PA Turnpike.
A Jeep Cherokee went off the road, rolled over-- ejecting the driver, according to the coroner's office.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner's office says.
The driver's identity has not been released.
