Richard Lee Ridley was convicted of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child in 1993 and 2006, as well as open lewdness in 2020 and harassment in 2023, according to the Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law Sexual Offender Registry and court records.
The 53-year-old Carlisle resident is considered a "sexually violent predator," Trooper Megan Frazer stated in a release.
In June of 2023 the Pennsylvania State Police, Troop H, Carlisle received a tip that Ridley was running a business of the books that violated the terms of his release and the registry requirements.
The business was a carnival game company operating under the name of R.S. Entertainment.
He ran the games at various venues in Newville, South Newton Township, Mount Holly Springs, and Red Lion, Frazer explained.
Not only was he operating a business after failing to report the employment to the Pennsylvania State Police per Megan’s Law, but he also had contact with children.
Ridley was arrested on a warrant for violating Megan's Law on Feb. 7 and has been held in the Cumberland County Prison on $10,000 bail.
His preliminary hearing is set before the Honorable Daniel J. Freedman at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 14, according to his latest court docket.
The state police are concerned he may have assaulted more children while operating this business.
They are asking anyone with additional information about R.S. Entertainment or having any knowledge of any incidents involving Ridley to contact Trooper Jacob Fackler at 717-249-2121.
