Teen Bicyclist Struck Dead, PA State Police Say
A 19-year-old bicyclist from Susquehanna was struck and killed at a stop sign, authorities said. Hannah E. Shaffer died at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1 on East Main Street west of Spring Avenue in Susquehanna Depot, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The driver of the car, Todd M. Caward, 45, of Starlight was not injured or ticketed, police said. It appears that Shaffer drove through the stop sign before getting hit by the car, police said. $82K Watch Stolen, Suspect Sought By Police In Pennsylvania
A man who allegedly stole an $82,000 watch from an area mall is sought by police in Upper Merion Township. Justin Ward, 30, has been charged with robbery, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and retail theft. On Saturday, Aug. 17 at about 7 p.m., Upper Merion Police responded to the Bucherer 1888 store located inside the King of Prussia Mall (160 N. Gulph Road) for a reported theft that had just occurred. 3-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Pennsylvania Pond: Police
A 3-year-old boy from Chesterbrook died after he was pulled from a pond in Chester County on Labor Day, authorities said. The incident occurred at about 6:50 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2 at Wilson Farm Park near Lee and Wilson roads in the Chesterbrook area of Tredyffrin Township. Police were called to the scene for reports of a missing child. A person was struck by a vehicle in York County on Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to the York County Department of Emergency Services. The strike happened at the intersection of Red Rock Run and Pearl Drive in Penn Township around 7:30 a.m., dispatchers said. A repeat sex offender from Philadelphia has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for possessing child pornography, authorities said. Christopher Daniels, 34, also was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Juan R. Sánchez to 15 years of supervised release for repeated child pornography and related offenses, U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero said on Wednesday, Aug. 28. Woman ID'd After Fatal Assault By Married Couple: Dauphin County Coroner
The woman found dead following an assault at a husband and wife's apartment has been identified, by the Dauphin County Coroner on Sunday, Sept. 1. Allie McFadden, 26, of York County, was killed in Kyle and Chanise Burton's apartment in the 100 block of Pine Street at 11 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29.
