Search Launched For Missing PA Boater After Empty Clamming Vessel Found In NJ Water A search is underway for a 64-year-old Pennsylvania man after his empty boat was found floating near a New Jersey pier Monday morning, Sept. 14, local police said. Atlantic Highlands police were called to Seastreak Pier around 10:45 a.m. for a report of an unmanned vessel, Police Chief Scott H. Reinert said. Patrol officers found the boat and confirmed it was unoccupied, Reinert said. The vessel appeared to have been used for commercial clamming.
