PA Man Struck Dead On Christmas: Coroner A 75-year-old pedestrian, Edward D. Tomcics, was struck and killed by a motor vehicle on Christmas Day in Whitehall Township, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. The incident occurred at approximately 6:54 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024, in the 3200 block of Water Street, officials said. Tomcics was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, where he was pronounced dead at 7:32 p.m. An autopsy performed by the coroner revealed that Tomcics died from blunt force injuries sustained in the collision.
