Two Injured In Four-Vehicle Crash On Route 30 In South Central PA

A four-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer, a pickup truck, an SUV, and a sedan left two people injured and caused major traffic delays in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, on Thursday, March 6, emergency dispatchers said.

The collision happened around 6:30 a.m. on Route 30 Eastbound at the Lititz Pike/Route 501 exit. The tractor-trailer veered off the eastbound lanes and partially blocked Chester Road, while the pickup truck was severely damaged, officials said.

The crash caused significant backups on Route 30, Route 283, Chester Road, and surrounding roads.

Two people were transported to the hospital, though the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time, dispatchers said.

All four vehicles have since been towed, and the roadway has been cleared.

A lane restriction was in place on Route 30 Eastbound at Exit PA 501/PA 272/US 222 South – Lititz Pike, until 9 a.m., according to PennDOT.
