Teen Killed In UHaul Drive-By Shooting Lands Half-Sister Life In Prison: York County DA
A teenage girl shot dead in a drive-by shooting on New Year's Eve has led to a life in prison sentence for her half-sister, the York County District Attorney's Office announced on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024.
Alajah Elizabeth Holmes, 19, at the time of the shooting, now 21, of York City, was driving a UHaul in the 300 block of West Jackson Street, York when she opened fire at her half-sister 18-year-old Amiya Paige, who was walking home on New Year's Eve in 2022 at 12:36 a.m., authorities explained in numerous releases.

A trespasser of a property in central Pennsylvania has been identified and the cause and manner of death have been released by the coroner's office.
Zachary Young, 35, of no fixed address in York, died of blunt force trauma by homicide, according to the release by the York County coroner's office.
York City police were called to a report of a suspicious man on a property in the 200 block of West Jackson Street at approximately 10:24 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, according to a release by the department.
