Treat Williams, PA College Football Player Turned Actor, Dies In Motorcycle Crash
Actor Treat Williams — who got his start on a college stage in Lancaster, PA — died in a motorcycle crash in Vermont on Monday, June 12, authorities said. He was 71 years old.
According to Vermont State Police, Williams died when a southbound 2008 Honda Element driven by Ryan M. Koss, 35, of Pownal, Vermont, attempted to turn left into a parking lot.
State police said an initial investigation indicates the Element stopped, signaled a left turn, and then turned into the path of a northbound 1986 Honda VT700c motorcycle operated by Williams.

Pulitzer Prize-winning historian, David McCullough, died at the age of 89, on Sunday, August 7, according to his family.
He was surrounded by his five children in Hingham, Massachusetts, at the time of his passing, his family says.
"The McCullough family is very appreciative of the support during this difficult time and the support of his many readers throughout the years."
His wife Rosalee Ingram Barnes McCullough, 89, had passed less than two months prior on June 9, according to her obituary.

NJ Co-Leads Nationwide Consumer Protection Probe Into Whether Instagram Is Putting Kids At Risk
New Jersey is co-leading a nationwide investigation into whether Instagram is violating state consumer protection laws and putting children, teenagers and young adults at risk, Acting State Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck announced Thursday.

A law student native to Pennsylvania has died in a train crash, according to police in Vermont.
Thomas R. Fennel, 23, of Pittsburgh, was killed while reversing his green Jeep Cherokee near train tracks when an Amtrak train collided with his vehicle, according to police in Vermont.
Royalton Vermont police were called to a motor vehicle versus train crash at Stearns Road on Tuesday around 11:25 a.m., according to a release by police.
