Fatal 3-Vehicle Crash On PA Turnpike: Officials A fatal crash closed Interstate 76/ PA Turnpike for over five hours on Saturday, Sept. 14 officials confirmed to Daily Voice the following Monday. The deadly three-vehicle crash happened at mile marker 268.4 in Penn Township, Lancaster County around 11:30 a.m., officials detailed. A detour began being used on I-76 West at Exit 286 - Reading starting at 12:35 p.m. and ending just before 5:45 p.m., according to officials. Pennsylvania State Police are still investigating this fatal crash. Check back here for updates.

Trucker MedEvac'd After Slamming Into Littlestown Laundromat (Photos) A trucker was medically evacuated by a helicopter to an area hospital following a serious crash into a Littlestown laundromat early on Thursday morning, Sept. 12, authorities explained.  The driver is thought to possibly have had a medical issue before he lost control of the vehicle, exiting the road, hitting a parked vehicle, causing the tractor-trailer to rollover and slam through the Littlestown Laundry Center, authorities said.  The crash happened in the 500 block of South Queen Street at 5:29 a.m. according to emergency dispatch.  A utility pole broke during the crash, officials said.…

Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle Closes Part Of I-81: PennDOT A fatal crash involving a motorcycle has closed part of Interstate 81 in Central Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Saturday evening, Aug. 31. The deadly crash completely shuttered the southbound lanes of I-81 near the crash scene at mile marker 82 beginning around 5:30 p.m., Schreffler detailed. Traffic is being detoured at exit 85 in South Hanover Township. The interstate was closed for several hours., reopening around 9:19 p.m., according to an updated statement from Schreffler. State Route 324, Marticville Road has closed between West Penn Grant and Sprecher Roads in Pequea Township. A detour is being setup by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, at the time of publication. The roadway is expected to remain will be closed for several days. Drivers are asked to find an alternate route of travel.
