Pinned By Falling Metal Pallets, Man Killed At East Penn Manufacturing: Coroner
A Schuylkill County man was killed in a workplace accident after being pinned by falling metal pallets at East Penn Manufacturing in Berks County.
Stephen Rapp, 48, of South Manheim Township, was pronounced dead at 8:41 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office said on Wednesday, March 12.
The fatal incident happened at 102 Deka Road in Lyon Station around 7:49 p.m. when the metal pallets fell on Rapp, causing mechanical asphyxia, officials said. His death has been ruled an accident.

The two Tennessee teens who fired at Pennsylvania State Troopers during a multi-state crime spree have been captured in Hartford, Connecticut, authorities announced.
Jeremiah Begley, 17, and Christian Guerrero Jr., 17, were taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 27, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Hartford Police, and the PSP Fugitive Apprehension Unit, state police said. A missing Cheltenham woman may be in danger, according to an alert from the Cheltenham Township Police Department on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
Madelyn Edwards, 81, was last seen in the area of Old Farm Road, Cheltenham Township at 12 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, police said. She's described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, 110 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes.

Schuylkill County Teen Missing, Possibly In Danger, State Police Say (Updated)

Troopers in Schuylkill County are asking for the public's help to locate a missing teen.
Maryanne Snyder, 17, of Frackville, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22, near South Nice Street, state police said.
She was wearing a black Reebok hoodie and a green dress, troopers said. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Frackville at 570-874-5300. If spotted, call 911.
