A day before he was killed, Charlie Kirk sent CNN analyst Van Jones a surprisingly conciliatory invitation, and Jones has now made it public. In a first-person CNN Politics piece published Friday, Sept. 19, Jones shared a direct message he says the 31-year-old conservative influencer sent him on X inviting a civil, on-air debate about crime and race. Voters Nationally Prefer Harris Over Trump, New Poll Finds
Voters nationally prefer Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris over her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, a brand-new survey by Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey shows. The seven-point margin (50 to 43) is largely due to race and gender, the FDU poll shows. The survey was conducted between Saturday, Aug. 17 and Tuesday, Aug. 20, using a voter list of registered voters nationwide carried out by Braun Research of Princeton, New Jersey. "Which one is blacker?" a native Pennsylvanian allegedly asked while handling promotions as an assistant chief of police in Florida, ABC News reports. Larry Scirotto, 48, was fired by City Manager Chris Lagerbloom last week after approximately six months on the job, according to the outlet citing a city of Fort Lauderdale news release.
