Police in Montgomery County are seeking the public's help in identifying two cars allegedly involved in a shooting near the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Wednesday, April 27. Officers responding to the shooting were initially told it happened in the hospital's parking garage and ordered a lockdown around 9:40 p.m., Upper Merion Township police said. A Philadelphia area man was found with more than $20,000 worth of fentanyl in an undercover bust, authorities said. Naim Payton, 23, of Morrisville, was set to sell a large quantity of the uncut, highly lethal drug on Monday, April 25, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele said. Detectives spotted him on the 400 block of North Evans Street in Pottstown that evening, and stopped his car, Steele said alongside Pottstown Police Chief Mick Markovich. A repeat violent offender from Maryland was arrested in Pennsylvania in connection with a 2021 homicide, authorities said. Authorities arrested Arthur McCaden, 36, in Montgomery County, PA while he was committing a larceny in a convenience store on Feb. 23, Baltimore Police said.
