Big Lots To Close 5 More Pennsylvania Stores
Things have gotten worse for the discount retailer Big Lots. The national chain was previously set to close approximately 300 stores, then they decided to close 40 more, but following a new filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission on Friday, Oct. 4, the impending closure of another 150 stores nationwide has been announced. A major retailer primarily located in malls and headquartered in Pennsylvania is set to close all 543 of its stores following its third Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. A New York man is accused of bringing almost half a million doses of fentanyl into Pennsylvania, authorities say. Yan Carlos Pichardo Cepeda, 27, was arrested by state agents and Allegheny County authorities and arraigned on Friday, Sept. 1, Attorney General Michelle Henry's Office said.
