Woman Steals Ambulance, Leading Chase Across York City: Police A 53-year-old woman led authorities on a short chase through York City in an ambulance she is accused of stealing, police said.   Barbara Smitha York City resident, allegedly took the UPMC LifeTeam EMS ambulance while its crew was at a call in the 200 block of North Duke Street around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
