TikTokers Make Fake Accounts Impersonating PA School Staff, District Says
Great Valley Middle School students made phony TikTok profiles impersonating their teachers, the school district said in a statement on Sunday, July 7. "I reiterate my disappointment and sadness that our students’ behavior has caused such duress for our staff," wrote Superintendent Daniel F. Goffredo. Another sell-or-be-banned TikTok legislation is working its way up to the Senate. The House passed the sell-or-be-banned bill for the app (360-58) on Saturday, April 20 as part of a larger foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, giving Chinese TikTok owner ByteDance up to a year to sell the app. Otherwise, TikTok will be subject to a nationwide ban. A group of white supremacists marching through the Philadelphia streets over the Independence Day weekend were ultimately chased out by upset city residents.
