A Pennsylvania man brought fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine into Maryland. Now he’s going away for decades.
Jerome Mario Britton, 46, of Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for drug distribution in Frederick County, prosecutors announced.
A jury convicted Britton in March following a narcotics investigation and traffic stop in Frederick last fall.
According to the Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office, on Sept. 4, 2024, at approximately 10:30 a.m., police received a tip from Carroll Township in Pennsylvania.

2 Maryland Men ID'd In Double Fatal Crash On I-81: PA State Police
The two people who were killed in a crash on Interstate 81 on Wednesday, Aug. 21 have been identified as men from Maryland, Pennsylvania State Police announced.
Diamonte Drequan Disney, 25, and Tiheen "Tizzy" Justice Nathaniel Matthews, 20, both of Hagerstown, MD, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin County Coroner, as detailed in the PA State Police release.

PA Dad Shot Dead Outside His Home, Coroner Says
A Pennsylvania dad has died following a shooting on Thursday, Apr. 14, according to a release by the coroner's office.
Michael Denton, 42, of Hanover, was shot in "an altercation with another individual… outside of his home," the York County coroner's office states in the release.
Following the shooting, he was rushed from his home in Adams County to Wellspan York Hospital— where he was declared deceased at 6:44 p.m., according to the coroner's office.
His cause and manner of death will be officially released following an autopsy at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Friday, Apr. 15.

US Marine Veteran, 82, Dies In Adams County Crash
An 82-year-old man has died after a crash on Monday, according to the York County coroner.
Raymond E. "Skeet"Proctor Sr., of 800 block of Roosevelt Ave., York City, died at WellSpan Hospital York following a single-vehicle crash on June 20 in Abbottstown, Adam County.
His official cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, according to a coroner's report released on Friday.
The Pennsylvania State police continue to investigate the crash.
