Amish Toddler ID'd By Family After Fatal Lancaster Farm Accident A 3-year-old Amish boy has died following an incident on his family's farm on Tuesday night, Lancaster County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber announced on June 5. Benjamin S. Child MedEvaced From Silo In South Central Pennsylvania: Authorities A child was rescued from a grain silo in South Central Pennsylvania on Tuesday evening, authorities announced.  Crews with the New Franklin Volunteer Fire Company arrived at a reported farming accident on Newcomer Road at 5:51 p.m. on Oct. 24.  They found that child was actually lodged in the grain auger between the silo and a feed truck. "A grain auger is a long tube used to raise and transport grain from the ground to the top of grain bins, load trucks from the grain bin or carry feed from a wagon to cattle feeders on a farm," according to the Farm Injury Resource Center. …
