Pair Rescued From Car Trapped In Flood Waters In Ephrata (Photos) A pair was rescued from a car trapped in flood waters in Ephrata on Wednesday, fire officials announced the following morning.  The water rescue happened on West Mohler Church Road along Cocalico Creek, sometime in the early evening of April 3, according to the Ephrata Pioneer Fire Company. Crews with the company were able to get the duo out of the vehicle with no injuries reported. "No matter the time of day or weather conditions, our volunteers are always here to answer your call for help," the fire company concluded its release.

Firefighter Injured At Martin's Country Market Multi-Million Dollar Fire In Ephrata (Photos) A firefighter was injured and Martin's Country Market has announced that it has closed "indefinitely" following a massive fire early on Thursday, Feb. 15. The fire broke out just before 4 a.m. at the popular market located at 1717 West Main Street in Ephrata Township, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications.  The fire shuttered Route 322 in both directions between Wood Corner and Robert roads, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation explained. Cause Of Death Revealed For Ephrata Man 'Trapped' By Conestoga River: Coroner A second Ephrata man has ended up dead in an area waterway in under a week. Allen "Ray" Nolt, was driving along Cabin Drive in West Earl Township when his vehicle became "trapped in the high waters" of the Conestoga River on Monday morning, Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber explained.  The "submerged" 73-year-old was rescued from his vehicle and taken to WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital's Emergency Department, where he was pronounced dead at 7:43 a.m., on Dec. 18, Bieber detailed.
