NWS Confirms Tornado Touched Down In Pennsylvania
The National Weather Service at State College has confirmed a tornado touched in Harrisburg and traveled through the neighboring townships during Tropical Storm Debby on Friday, Aug. 9. The EF1 had estimated peak winds of 105 miles, it was 300 yards at its widest, and was on the ground for about 3 1/2 miles, according to the NWS release. The tornado touched down near the Inclinator Company at 4:33 a.m. and took off again near the Pennsylvania State Police headquarters on Elmerton Avenue around 4:40 a.m., as detailed in the release. Tractor-Trailer Rollover Blocks Ramp On Rt 22: PennDOT
A tractor-trailer rolled onto its side is blocking the on-ramp to Route 22 on Monday morning, Aug. 5., according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The tractor-trailer appears to have flipped exactly in front of the on-ramp from Elmerton Avenue to North Cameron Street/Route 22 Northbound near Wildwood Drive around 6:40 a.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras. A crane came to the area and stood the vehicle upright around 9:40 a.m., but the area was still closed. No injuries were reported. Check back here for updates.

USPS Truck Crashes On US Route 22: PennDOT
A USPS truck and at least one passenger collided in Harrisburg on Tuesday evening according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The multi-vehicle crash was reported on US 22 eastbound between Elmerton Avenue and Wildwood Park Drive near Cameron Street, PennDOT's 511PA shows. All eastbound lanes of Route 22 from Maclay to Wildwood Park Drive closed as of 7:02 p.m. the site shows. The area remained closed as of 8:30 p.m., according to area traffic cameras. : One Person Suffered 'Life-Threatening Injuries' In Crash Near Farm Show Complex: Police
UPDATE: One person was seriously hurt in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and four cars in Harrisburg on Thursday, according to a release by police. A driver of one of the cars "was transported to the closest trauma facility with potentially life-threatening injuries," Harrisburg Bureau of police says.
