Bomb-sniffing dogs were called to the sweetest place on earth on Friday, authorities. Security personnel at Hershey's Chocolate World alerted dispatchers at the Dauphin County 911 Center of a reported bomb threat to the facility at 3:25 p.m., on Aug. 11, according to Dauphin County Communications Director Jennifer Fitch. "The building was being evacuated as a precaution," Fitch said. Pizza Delivery Assault, Robbery In Central PA: Police
Three teens have been arrested and a fourth is at large following the assault and robbery of a pizza delivery person in Central Pennsylvania on Wednesday, police announced on July 20, 2023. The delivery person was at someone's home dropping off pizzas when the "strong-arm robbery" took place in the 7400 block of Clearfield Street, Swatara Township, area police said. Lebanon County Man Dies Days After Being Hit Outside Harrisburg Walmart
A 39-year-old Palmyra man has died three days after he was struck by a car outside of a Walmart in Harrisburg, authorities say. Pritesh Patel died as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident on Monday, Jan. 30, the Swatara police announced that afternoon. Patel was struck on Route 322 in the area of Mushroom Hill Road and was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Walmart Shooter Nabbed Fleeing In Harrisburg: Police
One person was hurt in a shooting inside a central Pennsylvania Walmart on Sunday, August 21, 2022, police say. The Dauphin County 911 center began receiving calls of a shooting inside the Walmart located at 6535 Grayson Road in Swatara Township at 5:17 p.m., according to a release by township police. Officers from multiple townships responded. Upon arrival, Swatara officers located the victim and quickly found that the suspected shooter has fled the scene. A 16-year-old boy has gone missing from his central Pennsylvania home, police say. Jahmere Wright has been missing from his home in the 500 block of Eisenhower Boulevard in Swatara Township since June 24, according to a release by township police department.
