Schuylkill County Man, 33, Dies Under Bridge In Harrisburg: Officials
A 33-year-old man who was a beloved big brother was found dead under a bridge in Harrisburg, county officials announced on Friday, March 1. Collin Weller was an Orwigsburg native who previously lived in Kutztown and Pottsville, according to his social media. He had been experiencing homelessness and ended up in Harrisburg at some point over the last five years. He was found dead beneath the underpass at Paxton and Cameron streets in the city on Tuesday, Feb. 27, according to the Dauphin County Coroner's Office. USPS Truck Crashes On US Route 22: PennDOT
A USPS truck and at least one passenger collided in Harrisburg on Tuesday evening according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The multi-vehicle crash was reported on US 22 eastbound between Elmerton Avenue and Wildwood Park Drive near Cameron Street, PennDOT's 511PA shows. All eastbound lanes of Route 22 from Maclay to Wildwood Park Drive closed as of 7:02 p.m. the site shows. The area remained closed as of 8:30 p.m., according to area traffic cameras. Three pipe bombs were brought to the Public Safety Building in Harrisburg and the "good samaritan" who found them on Cameron Street has been interviewed and released as of Wednesday, May 9, 2023, Harrisburg Director of Communications Matt Maisel told Daily Voice. "A man came to the Public Safety Building at 123 Walnut around 11 claiming to have found a bag on Cameron St with explosives inside," Maisel said on Tuesday, May 8. A video has been released of the moments before and after a 22-year-old man was shot dead by the Harrisburg police on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. UPDATE: One person was seriously hurt in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and four cars in Harrisburg on Thursday, according to a release by police. A Harrisburg woman has been found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for driving over her boyfriend, according to the Dauphin County District Attorney.
