Music Legend Brent Hinds Dies At 51 In Crash Between SUV, Motorcycle
Brent Hinds, the electrifying musician whose riffs helped launch Mastodon to metal stardom, has died in a tragic motor-vehicle crash in Atlanta.
The 51-year-old Hinds, the former lead guitarist and co-vocalist of the Grammy-winning band, was killed on Wednesday, Aug. 20, when his Harley Davidson motorcycle was struck by a BMW SUV that failed to yield while turning, according to police, Atlanta News First reported.
The collision caused fatal injuries, and authorities have ruled his death accidental.

A high-end title-washing ring based in central Pennsylvania profited more than $1 million by selling stolen luxury cars from Florida, Attorney General Dave Sunday announced on Wednesday, Aug. 6.
The fraudulent operation was allegedly led by 44-year-old Anthony E. Troncoso, who, with a network of 12 others, used fake documents to “wash” vehicle titles, then sold over two dozen stolen cars to private buyers, dealers, and auction houses between 2022 and 2023, according to AG Sunday.

Giovani Cagle, 20, was taken into custody at a home on Fox Street in Phillipsburg just after 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 12 and charged with two counts each of criminal homicide, conspiracy to commit criminal homicide, and attempted criminal homicide, Northampton County District Attorney Terry Houck said.
