5 Dead In Allegheny County Home Explosion The death toll has risen to five in a home explosion in an area outside of Pittsburgh this weekend. The home explosion at at 141 Rustic Ridge Dr. in Plum (Allegheny County) Saturday morning, Aug. 12, destroyed three houses, with four adults and one adolescent dead as of Sunday afternoon, county officials said. Three more victims were taken to area hospitals: Two were in stable condition and have since been released from the hospital, and the third individual remains critical. 'Respectful' PA Teen Shot In Chest After Grandma's Funeral, Family Says A 16-year-old boy was gunned down the same day as his maternal grandmother's funeral, according to his family.  Dominic Sanner of Homestead, West Mifflin Township was shot in the chest while standing between two homes in the 100 block of East 17th Street at 11:27 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023, Allegheny County police explained in a release the following afternoon.  First responders came but he died from his injuries at the scene, the police said.  The Allegheny County Medical Examiner later confirmed his identity.
