Harrisburg 17-Year-Old Shot, Second Teen Slain In 2 Days
A second teenager has been shot dead in Harrisburg in less than two days, police announced on Tuesday morning, Aug. 13.
Antoine M. Byers Jr., 17, of Harrisburg, died in the shooting, his family announced on Facebook.
The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Regina Street at the intersection of North 18th Street in Harrisburg around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, August 12, according to Harrisburg Police.

Pennsylvania American Water Co. issued a boil water order for customers in York and Cumberland counties, starting on Friday, Aug. 9, and ending on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
The company initially warned that 42,000 customers were affected in the following areas: Camp Hill, Lemoyne, New Cumberland, Shiremanstown, West Fairview and Wormleysburg boroughs; East Pennsboro, Hampden, Lower Allen, Silver Spring townships; parts of Middlesex and Upper Allen townships; and parts of Fairview and Newberry townships.

An Enola mom is accused of taking over $10,000 from a Parent Teacher Organization, East Pennsboro police announced on Thursday, Aug. 8.
Melissa Anne Robinson, 42, was identified as the suspected thief following an investigation that began at 10:36 a.m. on October 9, 2023, as detailed in the police release.
That morning, officers with the East Pennsboro police were called to meet with the East Pennsboro School District PTO about the over $10,000 stolen from the organization.
