'I Lost My First True Love:' Victims Of Deadly I-81 Crash Remembered
The lives of two Maryland men were cut short in a crash on I-81 last week in Pennsylvania, and now, their loved ones are rallying to give them proper burials. Diamonte Drequan Disney, 25, and Tiheen "Tizzy" Justice Nathaniel Matthews, 20, both of Hagerstown, MD, both died in the crash Wednesday, Aug. 21 in Antrim Township, as previously reported by Daily Voice. Central Penn Baseball Star Struck Dead By Tractor-Trailer On I-81: Coroner
A former college baseball player was struck dead on Interstate 81 on Sunday, Aug. 25, the Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall told Daily Voice. Quinton J. Heckard, 26, of Hummelstown, was hit by a tractor-trailer on I-81 South at mile marker 61.7 at 8:13 a.m., according to Hall. The fatal pedestrian strike happened when "Heckard stepped in front of the truck from the shoulder of the road," Hall said. A 25-year-old CNA died at the scene of a rollover crash early Monday morning, Aug. 26, Pennsylvania State Police announced later that day. Sierra Marie Hockley of Gardners was not properly wearing her seatbelt while driving her 2016 White Jeep Grand Cherokee north on Route 94/Carlisle Pike in Latimore Township, PSP Gettysburg Trooper Parker Hoyt explained in the release. Teen Killed In NEPA ATV Crash ID'd By Carbon County Coroner
A 19-year-old man was killed in an ATV crash in Carbon County, authorities said. Joshua Beck of Penn Forest Township died as a result of the crash on Saturday, Aug. 24, according to Carbon County Coroner Mark K. Smith. 'Decomposed Body Discovered Hanging From Tree,' In Pennsylvania, Police Say
"A decomposed body was discovered hanging from a tree in the woods," Philadelphia Police announced on Sunday, Aug. 25. Police were called to a report of a body in a tree in the 1400 block of North 66th Street at 9:47 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25. The person was officially pronounced dead at 9:50 a.m. by Medic 41. A 34-year-old man has died and a woman was injured following a single-vehicle crash on PA Route 441/River Road on Friday night, Aug. 23, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday morning, Aug. 25. A teenage boy is in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle, Lititz Borough Police announced on Saturday, Aug. 24. A Carlisle man has become a registered sex offender for sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl, the Cumberland County District Attorney's office announced on Thursday, Aug. 22.
