"Two $1 MILLION checks have gone out to voters for signing our petition to support the Constitution," America PAC said on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday, Oct. 20. "A registered swing state voter who signs the petition will be selected to earn $1M as a spokesperson for America PAC every day until Election Day."
One day later, America PAC tweeted congratulations to "Shannon from McKees Rocks, PA" who was the Monday, Oct. 21 recipient of $1 million for signing the petition.
Musk himself retweeted the announcement and offered Shannon congratulations on the win.
The three winners, listed as John Dreher, Kristine Fishell, and Shannon Tomei, were randomly selected, according to Penn Live. All three are also registered as Republicans and had already voted according to state records, Penn Live states.
Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro called Musk's sweepstakes "deeply concerning" and "something law enforcement could take a look at" on NBC's Meet the Press on Sunday, Oct. 20, NBC News reported.
Musk's townhalls were also under scrutiny by legal experts who said his register to vote, sign a petition, attend a town hall was illegal, according to previous reporting by Daily Voice.
