A pregnant Wisconsin teen who vanished under an Amber Alert may now be in Pennsylvania with the father of her unborn child, a man barred from having contact with her, authorities announced on Wednesday, Feb. 5.
Sophia Franklin, 16, was last seen at her residence in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, authorities explained. She is three months pregnant.
Investigators say she is believed to be with Gary F. Day, the father of her unborn child, who was last seen at her home at 7:48 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 3. A no-contact order is in place between the two, police said.

The encounter happened in the 200 block of Amishtown Road in Earl Township at approximately 1:03 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, according to the New Holland Police Department.

Nearly 295,000 Honda and Acura vehicles are being recalled due to a software issue that could cause engines to lose power or stall, increasing crash risks, officials said.

A 92-year-old Philadelphia woman who went missing on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, was found dead in her neighbor's car two days later, police said.
Bessie Watson, who suffered from cognitive decline, was last seen by her daughter around 2 p.m. at their home on the 1700 block of Georges Lane in Wynnefield, according to Philadelphia police.
Surveillance footage captured Watson leaving her home that afternoon but showed no signs of her return, Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
