Skeletal Remains In PA Woods ID'd As Missing 22-Year-Old Giovanni Zambrano: Coroner (Update)

eThe skeletal remains found in a wooded area of Allentown have been positively identified as 22-year-old Giovanni Zambrano, who had been reported missing since August 2024, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office announced on Thursday, March 6.

Zambrano was pronounced dead at 2:26 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, after being discovered in the 300 block of Sumner Avenue, officials said.

Post-mortem dental radiographs confirmed his identity, and an autopsy determined the manner of death as suicide, according to the coroner’s office.

Zambrano had last been seen in the 400 block of North 5th Street on Aug. 29, 2024, according to a missing person alert issued by the Allentown Police Department.

The Allentown Police Department assisted in the investigation.
