EMS Urges Public To Avoid Area After 'Incident' In Cumberland County
An unknown incident has closed a road in Cumberland County, officials announced on Monday, Nov. 4. EMS were called to the "incident" on Spring Road, near the intersections of Wertz Run Road, West Middlesex Road, and Faith Circle, officials announced around 11 a.m. For the safety of personnel working on or near the roadway, the public is asked to avoid the area. A gas leak has led to an evacuation and traffic being diverted, Lancaster County authorities explained on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 6. The gas leak happened at the intersection of East Bainbridge and South Spruce in Elizabethtown at 2:25 p.m., according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. "Residents should avoid the area," Elizabethtown police said in a release at 3:09 p.m. A two-block perimeter has been evacuated as a precaution, LCWC explained.
