Teen Killed In High-Speed I-81 Crash ID'd: Details Released By PA State Police, Family
A high-speed crash on Interstate 81 southbound in East Pennsboro Township claimed the life of a 19-year-old Harrisburg man, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Sunday, Dec. 15.
The fatal crash occurred at mile marker 62.6 at approximately 9:43 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, according to PSP Trooper Joshua Hoerner.
Muhammad Shezal Ali, 19, of Harrisburg, died at the scene after being ejected from his 2009 Honda Civic, police said. Investigators determined the crash was caused by racing at high speeds between Ali’s Civic and a 2014 Hyundai Sonata.

Police have identified a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man found dead on Nectarine Street in Harrisburg, authorities announced Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.
Santiago Gutierrez, 29, is wanted for murder after allegedly shooting Jhonny Torres, 25, dead in the middle of the street, police said. Gutierrez, who fled the scene immediately after the shooting, has been charged with murder and firearm not to be carried without a license.

A Harrisburg man is facing multiple charges, including rape of a child and kidnapping, after an incident involving a 12-year-old girl in uptown Harrisburg, police announced on Thursday, Dec. 5.
I Marr Finley, 23, is accused of luring the child into a residence on Monday, Nov. 25, 2024, where he allegedly committed acts resulting in charges of Rape of a Child, Kidnapping of a Minor, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, and Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child, according to Harrisburg Police.
