Bethlehem Shooting Sends Victim To Hospital In Critical Condition: Police City police are investigating a shooting in Bethlehem early Sunday morning, June 23. Authorities said they were called to the 1300 block of Fritz Drive just after 4 a.m. Officers arrived to find an adult man with a gunshot wound to the body and he was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, BPD said. His condition has since stabilized.  No arrests had been made as of Monday, June 24. Officer Hospitalized With Medical Episode While Arresting Wanted Person, Police Say An Allentown police officer was hospitalized after suffering a medical episode while trying to arrest a wanted person, officials said. Police said only that the officer suffered some sort of medical episode while attempting to apprehend the suspect around 12:45 p.m. Monday, June 10 on the 600 block of N. 9th Street. Emergency aid was rendered on scene and the officer was taken to an area hospital for treatment. The officer is expected to survive. No further details were released.
