A West Goshen detective sergeant has been charged with stealing drugs from a community medication collection program, Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan announced on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024. David Maurer, 55, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Controlled Substances and Felony Theft by Unlawful Taking, according to the DA. Maurer was responsible for emptying medication collection boxes located at the West Goshen Township Police Department and Chester County Hospital. A Reinholds man has been charged with invasion of privacy after an investigation revealed he allegedly possessed inappropriate images of a juvenile, the Ephrata Police Department announced on Monday, Nov. 18. Anthony John Valente, 39, is accused of possessing images of the intimate parts of a juvenile taken without the victim’s knowledge or consent. According to police, the photos were taken from a distance and zoomed in on the victim's body and intimate areas.
