Tanker Truck Overturns, Closes Route 501 In Lancaster County A tanker truck hauling liquid asphalt oil overturned, shutting down a stretch of Route 501 in Lancaster County on Friday, Feb. 7, emergency dispatchers said. The crash happened around 11:04 a.m. in the 1900 block of Furnace Hills Pike/Route 501 near Route 322 in Elizabeth Township, according to dispatch reports. The 18-wheeler flipped onto its side, and a utility pole and wires were knocked down, blocking the roadway, officials said. No injuries were reported. 1K+ Gallons Of Milk Spills From Tanker In Rollover Crash: Quarryville FD A tanker truck carrying milk overturned in Quarryville on Monday, July 15, authorities explained.  The crash happened in the 1100 block of May Post Office Road near Springville Road in Eden Township around 4 p.m., dispatchers and the Quarryville Fire Department explained.  The tanker was carrying 1,000 gallons of milk when it overturned, QFD officials said. May Post Office Road is closed between Springville and Stony Hill roads.  There are detours set up, the QFD concluded.

Rt 11 Reopens After Fatal Tanker Truck Crash: PennDOT A coroner was called to the scene of a crash on Route 11 on Wednesday morning, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler.  The crash is believed to have been between a tanker truck and a passenger vehicle, Schreffler explained. It happened between Schoolhouse and Cove roads at around 11:30 a.m. on July 10. It is unclear "which vehicle had the fatality," Schreffler said.  The area affected by the closure was between Maryville and Duncannon. The roadway reopened around 2:30 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA and Schreffler.…
