The former president and vice president of a frat at Penn State have been sentenced in connection with the death of a student from New Jersey, Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry announced on Tuesday, Oct. 1. Disney+ To Raise Prices Along With Several Other Major Streaming Services
Another year, another streaming service price hike. Disney+, the streaming video platform that boasts more than 150 million users, is raising the price of its monthly subscriptions beginning Thursday, Oct. 17, the company said. The spike comes as Disney said it will crack down on password-sharing, Variety reported. The House of the Mouse announced earlier this year that prices for its most basic package with advertisements will climb from $8 to $10 monthly. Disney+ Premium will also rise by $2 to $16 monthly. An Abington woman charged with shooting her parents and dismembering their bodies with a chainsaw was sentenced Monday, Sept. 30, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office told Daily Voice the following day. Verity Beck, 45, pleaded "guilty but mentally ill" to two first-degree murder counts, the district attorney's office said. She was given two life sentences that will be served concurrently.
