Woman Hurt, Child Critical After Northeast Philadelphia Crash: Police A woman and her young child were hospitalized Tuesday evening, June 25 when a car struck them as they crossed the street, said Philadelphia police.  The pair were crossing Bridge Street at Summerdale Avenue when a 2002 Toyota Highlander turned left onto the road and hit them, PPD said.  Authorities were called to the scene just after 6 p.m.  Both victims were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where the woman, 26, is in stable condition.
