A former New Jersey police officer has been sentenced for sexually abusing a young relative in Pennsylvania, where he admitted the story behind his New Jersey plea deal was made up, according to court records and New Brunswick Today’s reporting.
Former Woodbridge, NJ officer Ryan Alcott, 29, of Sewaren, NJ, pleaded guilty on Jan. 15 to misdemeanor indecent assault of a child, according to Wayne County court records dated Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Man Found Dead In His Own Pond In Pennsylvania Identified: Coroner
A man found dead in his own pond in Pennsylvania has been identified as the investigation into his death continues, the coroner’s office announced on Thursday, Sept. 17.
George E. Dunda, 77, of Brecknock Township, was found in his private pond in the 1600 block of Wyomissing Road, according to Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel.
The Berks County 911 Center received a call reporting someone in the pond on Monday, Sept. 14, the release states.
Investigators from the coroner’s office responded to the scene, and Dunda was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m., Stitzel said.

The nation's best airports for traveler satisfaction have been revealed in a new ranking.
JD Power released its 2026 North America Airport Satisfaction Study on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The study was based on 24,710 surveys from US and Canadian residents who traveled through at least one airport in either country.
