Shot Child Hospitalized, PA State Police Say (

A boy is in the hospital after being shot in Central Pennsylvania, state troopers announced on Monday, Oct. 7. The unnamed child was taken in a private vehicle to Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in East Pennsboro Township on Sunday, Oct. 6, according to PSP Troopers in Carlisle. The preliminary investigation has led PA State Police to believe the child was shot in Carroll Township, York County, although the investigation remains active. There is no threat to the public, according to PSP. Check back here for updates.

Shots Fired Into 5-Year-Old's Bedroom, Lancaster Police Say
A 5-year-old was awoken early Friday morning, Sept. 27, when bullets shot into their bedroom, Lancaster City Bureau of Police announced later in the day. Officers were called to a report of shots fired in the 500 block of Juniata Street around 2:25 a.m. They found "multiple shell casings and one live round of ammunition after canvassing the area," as written in the release. A teenage boy has been arrested and a 21-year-old man is in the hospital following a shooting in Lebanon on Tuesday, Sept. 17, according to court documents obtained by Daily Voice the following day. A second teen boy is in police custody after a shooting at a house party on Monday, Sept. 16, the Lancaster Bureau of Police announced on Thursday, Sept. 19.
