Hundreds of mink were released from a Northumberland County farm on Saturday, Oct. 19, leading to two arrests, according to authorities. The animals were released from Richard H. Stahl Sons Inc. farm in Sunbury, according to a news release from Fur Commission USA. Two Massachusetts residents were arrested on Saturday, Oct. 19 for what Fur Commission USA called an act of terrorism. Amish Farm Has Two-Alarm Barn Fire: Authorities
An Amish barn had a blaze burning through it early Thursday morning, Oct. 10, according to Lancaster County Wide Communications. The call to the fire at the farm located in the 5900 block of Meadville Road in Salisbury Township, Narvon came into LCWC at 3:24 a.m., according to the supervisor. The area of Meadeville and Red Hill roads were closed as fire crews battled the blaze. The barn stored hay, not animals, so no humans or animals were injured.
