ChesCo Sheriff, Deputy Indicted For Using County Funds To Pay Employees For Volunteer Work
A Chester County sheriff and deputy admitted to using county funds to pay employees for volunteer work, performed both on and off duty, at private charity events, authorities announced. Former Chester County Sheriff Carolyn Welsh and former deputy Harry McKinney were arrested on November 23, 2020, following a Grand Jury investigation, Attorney General Josh Shapiro said.
