Two Seriously Injured In Head-On Downingtown Crash: Police (

A man and a woman are hospitalized after an early morning wreck on Route 322, Downingtown police say. A silver Honda Fit and a white Chevrolet Equinox collided on the 600 block just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, authorities said. Both were taken to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center while Route 322/Brandywine Avenue was shut down for more than three hours. The crash remains under investigation and anyone who witnessed it is asked to call 610-269-0263 or email traffic@downingtown.org.

A 20-year-old man who allegedly killed his mom while driving high on drugs, crashing on Route 322, has been charged, the Northern Lancaster Regional Police Department announced on Wednesday, Feb. 28. Gavin Meical Kline's mom, 41-year-old Bethany Welch of Palmyra was in the passenger seat of a 2016 Kia Optima when it was involved in the crash with a commercial van and a tractor-trailer, according to the Lancaster County Coroner's office. Lulu Lemon Heist Leads To High-Speed Chase, Four Arrests In Delco: Police
One man and three women were arrested following a police chase down I-95 in Delaware County on Monday afternoon, Feb. 12, according to troopers. Police were called about a theft at the Concord Township Lulu Lemon around 1:45 p.m., authorities said in a release. The suspects had grabbed $5,000 in merchandise and absconded in a gray Subaru Legacy, state police said. After a brief search, authorities spotted the Subaru heading east on Route 322 toward I-95, troopers wrote. UPDATE: A SWAT standoff ended peacefully Thursday, April 28 in Honey Brook, Daily Local reports. PA State Police, local police, and the Chester County Emergency Response Team were dispatched, along with EMS, on a report of a barricaded person with a gun on Patton Drive in Lazy Acres mobile home around 9:15 a.m., the outlet says. After several hours of negotiations, the man peacefully surrendered around 3:30 p.m., according to the outlet. No injuries were reported. Route 322 was temporarily closed due to the incident. Two-Vehicle Crash Closes Route 82 In West Brandywine Township
A two-vehicle crash closed North Manor Road (Route 82) in West Brandywine Township (Chester County) Tuesday for nearly five hours, authorities said. Rescue crews responding to the road between Horseshoe Pike (Route 322) and Lippitt Road around 12:14 p.m., removed both doors on the driver's side of a car to free a trapped driver, according to East Brandywine Fire Company. Shelter-In-Place Order Lifted Following Chlorine Leak In Downingtown
A shelter-in-place order has been lifted Tuesday morning after a chlorine leak in the Johnsontown section of Downingtown (Chester County), authorities said. Fire crews responded around 4:30 a.m. to the Downingtown Sewer Plant on 550 Brandywine Ave., according to Downingtown police chief Howard Holland. Crews secured the leak and the order was cleared around 9:30 a.m., Holland said. Route 322 was temporarily shut down between Boot Road and Bradford Avenue, East Brandywine fire officials said. No further information was immediately available.

A lawsuit over an accused double murderer who hanged herself while imprisoned ended recently with a settlement.
