Screaming Woman Chased By Armed Captor, Arrest Made In Bucks County: Police
A screaming woman led police to a suspect in a stabbing, authorities said on Monday, Aug. 19. On June 28 at about 3 a.m., Hilltown Police responded to a business in the 800 block of Blooming Glen Road to investigate the report of a female stabbing victim. Officers arrived and found a screaming woman being chased by a suspect, Jacob Cantando, police said. An Investigation determined that the female victim had been injured twice with a knife by Cantando during a several-hour-long ordeal in which he refused to allow the victim to leave, police said. PA Mom Accused Of Cyber Harassing Girls On Daughter's Squad Ordered To Stand Trial
A Pennsylvania mom has been ordered to face trial for harassing three girls on her daughter's cheerleading squad, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office announced Friday. Raffaela Spone, 50, of Chalfont, last March was charged with three counts each of cyber harassment of a child and harassment. Following a preliminary hearing on Friday, Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage found enough evidence presented to send all charges to the Court of Common Pleas, District Attorney Matt Weintraub's Office said. Police: DUI Bucks Driver Hits Parked Car In McDonald's Parking Lot
A Bucks County driver is facing DUI charges after colliding with a parked car in a local McDonald's parking lot, authorities said. Police arrived at the scene and found Vincent Gardner, 37, under the influence in his car after he crashed into a parked car in the McDonald's parking lot on Constitution Avenue in Perkasie, on Feb. 4, according to the Perkasie Borough Police Department. No injuries were reported in the accident, police said. Gardner was arraigned by Judge Regina Armitage and charged with driving under the influence on Feb. 10. His bail was set at $15,000.
